about.
This UX research project aimed to understand how work stress impacts creative employees and explore ways to balance it through positive experiences. Using qualitative research methods, we investigated how factors like appreciation, social relationships, and community integration influence well-being and productivity. The study focused on uncovering the emotional and psychological needs of creative employees and how recognition and connection contribute to reducing stress and enhancing their creative processes.
challenge.
Creative employees often experience high work stress, which can negatively impact both mental well-being and productivity. The shift to remote work during the Covid-19 pandemic further intensified feelings of isolation and lack of recognition. The key challenge was to identify and analyze the core factors that contribute to a healthier and more fulfilling work experience while ensuring that findings were backed by in-depth user research.
result.
Through semi-structured interviews with 13 creative employees and a digital survey with 10 participants, the research revealed three main insights:
Social Contribution & Appreciation – Feeling valued and recognized reduces stress and enhances creative motivation.
Positive Relationships – Trust and empathy in the workplace contribute to emotional well-being and stress reduction.
Social Integration – A sense of belonging to a community provides support and increases engagement.
By identifying these key dimensions, the research highlights the importance of appreciation and social connection in reducing work stress for creative employees. The findings provide valuable insights for designing work environments and systems that prioritize employee well-being and productivity.
